Each frame we produce in Tennessee is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and our relentless pursuit of perfection in engineering.
Frame Longevity in Mind
Our frames are crafted from titanium, complemented by aluminum headtube cups, a bolt-on aluminum flat mount brake mount, and an aluminum seattube insert, all contributing to its extended durability. Many local bike shops are hesitant about using facing tools on titanium, which leads us to opt for aluminum components. Over time, we've observed that press-in cups can stress the headtube structure and potentially cause fatigue-related cracking. To avoid this potential frame failure: we bond aluminum cups to the head tube instead, ensuring greater resilience. These cups are easily replaceable or resurfaced at a local bike shop if the bearing race seat area is damaged due to a seized bearing.
Similarly, the bolt-on aluminum flat mount brake mount can be effortlessly replaced or faced by a local bike shop if needed. The aluminum seattube sleeve enhances structural integrity at the critical seat tube/seatstay/toptube junction, a high-stress area in the frame. This sleeve can also be removed or replaced in case of a seized seatpost due to inadequate maintenance.
Customer in Mind
Our goal is to ensure that your frame never requires a warranty claim. We strive to safeguard you in every situation possible. However, should an issue like a fatigue crack or material defect occur for the original owner of the frame, we've got you covered.
With over 35 years of experience building titanium bicycle frames, we recognize that components such as headtube cups, seattube/seatpost junctions, and brake mounts can sustain damage due to insufficient maintenance, user error, or unforeseen events. We have addressed these issues so that nearly any problem can be handled by a local bike shop, sparing our customers the inconvenience and expense of complete disassembly and shipment to us for repairs.
Process, Tooling, and Lowering Prices
Our frames are crafted with meticulous attention to detail, utilizing both state-of-the-art equipment as well as manual machines dating back to the early 1950s. Our process and experience guarantee precision in every aspect of manufacturing. This also guarantees our promise to offer the best pricing in the industry. A titanium frame should not cost $4000+ and we are here to prove that.
About The Machines
Our machines are carefully selected and rebuilt by David Lynskey to complement the expertise of our craftsmen, allowing us to push the boundaries of what is possible in titanium frame construction. From custom tube shaping to precise alignment, our equipment enables us to achieve levels of precision that simply aren't attainable by competitors.
